Preparation for Sunday, February 10

Acts 11:19-30

Reflect
Today Pastor Lyle will resume his series of sermons through the book of Acts, focusing on God’s intention to take His people “deeper and wider” in their walk with Him.  In Acts 11, we see the birth and development of the church in Antioch.  This church would be the springboard for the outward movement of the Gospel that sent Paul on his missionary journeys.  Through the story of this church, we’ll see how we can truly only multiply what we ourselves are becoming.

Apply

  • What are some of the characteristics that describe this church in Antioch?  To what degree do you see these characteristics in your own life?
  • After listening to this morning’s message, how do you believe God is asking you to respond?
  • Ask God to work in the hearts of all who will be attending our services today.
