John 14:1-14
Reflect
Have you ever been totally lost? Being lost usually means we can’t see people or locations we thought we would. This is when we may become worried or anxious. What a relief it is when we see that familiar landmark, or we come across a friendly face who knows the way.
In our passage today Jesus has just shared with His disciples how He would leave them. The thought of not having Jesus around undoubtedly left them feeling lost and alone. Here Jesus assures them, and us, that we will not be totally lost. Jesus declares that He is the way, and to know Him is to know the way to our heavenly Father.

Are you feeling lost and alone? Jesus reminds His disciples and anyone else who would trust Him as Lord and Saviour, that in knowing Him they know the way to God. They know the truth of God and have access to a life of purpose here and a life in the presence of God forever. My prayer is that you would discover the peace that comes from placing your life in God’s hands and to know that Jesus is ready and willing to guide you through life.
