Psalm 37

Reflect
Today’s psalm has us wrestle with two major themes: the problem of the apparent prosperity of the wicked, and the need for the faithful to trust God and find refuge in Him.  These two themes are very real for us today.  As you look around, you are probably able to point out several instances where the “wicked” seem to go unpunished and prosper.  We can become discouraged with what we see around us.  Take heart though, and don’t allow the success of the “wicked” to undermine your confidence in God’s justice and goodness.  God is incompatible with evil and will judge it. If not now when we would prefer, it will happen at some time in the future.  Do not give up on God but choose to take refuge in Him and endure faithfully to the end.

Pray for Kadie Hughes - YoungLife South Edmonton
I was introduced to Jesus when I was in high school through ZEMC in Didsbury. I graduated with a degree in Intercultural studies in 2016 and have been working for Young Life South Edmonton ever since! I absolutely love what I get to do in the lives of teens. Young Life’s mission is to care for teenagers and earn the right to share God’s love with them. We do this by going to where teens are, volunteering within the local schools and going into their world. I work within both Jr. and Sr. high schools in the South Edmonton area. We have the privilege of doing life with teens and being with them during the hard moments as well as the good ones, all the while showing them God’s immense love for them. We would love prayer for the relationships we have with the schools that we are at. As well, pray for our leaders as they step out and build friendships, and that God would provide leaders so more teens can hear about Jesus!
