Philippians 2:12-18

Reflect
In today’s passage Paul continues to give practical instruction to the Philippians.  He wants them to continue to live a life that is unified and different from the world around them.  In fact, it should be a life that stands in stark contrast to the darkness of their world.  Paul desires that the Philippian people will live out a life consistent with how Jesus lived His own life, a life that had joys, sorrows, struggles and pain, but one that did not grumble or complain against His Father.  It was a reasonable request from Paul to the Philippians and a request I believe we can get behind as well.

Young Life is a Christian mission, loving teenagers in their world, encouraging them to know Jesus Christ. In today’s connected world, teens are becoming more disconnected than ever before; from friends, family God and even themselves. The impact of this disconnection can be devastating. In Young Life, we believe in caring for every teen and our work is characterized by the grassroots contact of leaders building relationships with young people on their turf.

In South Edmonton we have continued to reach teens in their world since 1981. Currently we are reaching teens at Harry Ainlay, Strathcona Composite, J. Percy Page, Dan Knott, Avalon, Vernon Barford, LY Cairns and Lillian Osborne.

John and Janelle have been serving with Young Life since 2011 and love the city of Edmonton.
