Psalm 75

 Reflect

The manner in which you read today’s passage will be dramatically affected by the circumstances you are having, or have experienced in life. One of the subtle shifts that has occurred in our culture is that we seemed to have either forgotten, become apathetic to, or never encountered the horrors of evil. Increasingly, ours is a culture that not only denies the reality of God; we are denying the reality of the evil one. God however, is well aware of the evil that men embrace, and the source. With His great wisdom and patience, He calls us up to be involved in countering the evil in the world with His powerful message of love, hope and grace. What evil in your life needs to be committed to His cleansing? How are you intentionally, actively engaging with the spread of God’s hope filled message to those burdened under the crushing weight of evil? What helps to prevent you from drifting off into a Disneyland like mentality, which is capable of lulling you into mediocrity? In what ways are you engaged enough to take notice and lift your voice in exultation when the God of Jacob stops the injustices of evil?
