Reflect
Paul begins this passage with a strong reminder. He is reminding the Corinthians of some clear facts and reminding them of the commitments they made. “For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve.” (vs. 3-5) There are times when we all need a quick reminder of the facts. I believe we all have times when we drift from what we know to be true, and even though it is painful or embarrassing, we appreciate it when we are given the chance to correct our course of thinking or action. I think the challenge for us today is to take some time to reflect on our own lives to see if we are still acting in accordance to the truth of the Gospel.

Pray
- Pray for all our small group leaders.
- Pray for our Pastoral Care Pastors, Sharon Harewood and Christine Okken.
- Pray for the NAB missionary of the week, Gary Clatterbuck, Field Coordinator, Russia. Gary is working under the Moscow Theological Seminary and providing teachers, upon request, to ten different Learning Centers across Russia and Ukraine. He continues to work with MTS to plan future ways consultants can serve the developing leaders in all of Russia, though there is some uncertainty concerning a law that passed last summer calling for tighter restrictions on missionaries and evangelism. Pray for the cases working their way through the courts, as well as the hearts and actions of Russia’s leaders.
