Colossians 1:15-17

Reflect

Colossians describes Jesus as the image of the invisible God. Sometimes it can be hard for us to imagine what God is like. Before Jesus came, all that the people had was what was revealed to them through the prophets. But since Jesus came, we then had this living, breathing, image of God. If we want to better know the heart and character of God, we can now look to Jesus to get a picture of that. We have stories all throughout the Gospels of how Jesus interacted with all kinds of different people. We see God’s heart through the grace, love, and acceptance that Jesus extends. The heart that Jesus had for the people He interacted with is the same heart that God has for you and me. So, when you read the stories of Jesus, imagine God extending the same heart towards you. What is God wanting to reveal about His heart towards you today through Jesus?
