Reflect
Think back over all the conversations that you had yesterday. Whose voice did you hear more than anyone else’s? I would guess that it was your own. All day, every day the voices in our head keep going. Are those voices kind to you? Instead of passively allowing your voice to dictate your thoughts I suggest allowing this profound Psalm direct you to godly thoughts. Read through the Psalm and highlight the mentioning of things that God has already done and that we should never forget. The list is spectacular. Now, read through the Psalm again and make note of explicit truths about the LORD that you will be able to remind yourself of over and over again until the thoughts you have in your head are filled with truth about God and how to journey through life. What are your other go-to texts that will help you ‘take every thought to make it obedient to Christ’? All day, every day, people all around you have thoughts tempting them to live below what they were made for. How are your words and actions today going to help them become all they were meant to be?
