Read Colossians 2:16-23
This morning Pastor Lyle will continue his series in the book of Colossians with a message on this passage that deals with God’s intention to transform us from the inside out. A true understanding of Christianity moves us beyond behaviour modification based on rules, to a relationship with God that truly changes us at the level of our motives and desires.
Apply
- Verse 23 says that a list of rules may look like it is wise, but then it lists a number of shortcomings of living by such a list. What are some of these deficiencies?
- After listening to this morning’s message, how do you believe God is asking you to respond?
- Ask God to work in our congregation and in your heart as we gather to worship Him today.

- Pray that God would effectively be at work in our church and in all His churches throughout our city today.
