Preparation for Sunday

Read John 17:14-23

Happy Father’s Day! Today, Pastor Daunavan will be speaking out of one of the final recorded prayers that Jesus prayed before He went to the cross. In this prayer, He cried out to our Father that those who follow Him (us) would be a spiritual family that reflects His glory to the world. God’s desire for us is to have the same kind of unity that is expressed between the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This beautiful invitation should set our hearts to want to be the kind of community that comes alongside one another in all parts of life, bringing out the best in one another and spurring one another on. Take some time to slowly read this prayer today and hear the desire present in Jesus’ voice. Hear the love that He has for His church, and hear the heart of God for you today.
