This devotional guide is designed to help you in your walk with God. The goal of each day’s reading is for you to communicate with God; to hear from Him through His Word, and to respond in prayer. In order to meet this goal, I encourage you to keep a daily journal of your time with God. I have found it helpful to use the following four categories when I journal...
- Scripture: Write out a verse or verses that especially spoke to you.
- Observation: Briefly write down the truth that is expressed in the verse.
- Application: Reflect on how the truth of this verse can be lived out in your life. Record these reflections. The thoughts expressed by the pastoral staff each day can help you in your observation and application.
- Prayer: Write out a prayer of response to God. Thank Him for the truth He has shown you. Ask for His wisdom and strength as you seek to apply this truth.
May God bless you as you journey with Him through His Word.

Psalm 117
1 Praise the Lord, all you nations; extol him, all you peoples. 2 For great is his love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.
Praise the Lord.
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 1
Psalm 117
Reflect
How can all nations praise Him (v1), when all nations have not yet heard of Him? We are currently in an era that allows us to do things that were previously unimaginable. And yet, there are over 7000 unreached people groups, amounting to almost 3 billion people that have not heard of the precious redemption available to them through Jesus Christ. You and I have tools available to us such as: www.joshuaproject.net and www.operationworld.org . Take some time right now and lift up a nation or people group in prayer. Then ask yourself how you will be involved in proclaiming the wonderful truth of the greatness of God’s steadfast love toward us (meaning all peoples!). Every knee will bow, and every tongue will confess... our Lord is including you in fulfilling His promises! Where are you being called to go?
