We invite you to start serving in one of our ministries. Our desire is that you find a place of service that fits the passions, gifts and abilities God has given you. To assist in this process, we have listed a number of our ministry opportunities under the categories you will find on this page. Please look them over and see if anything resonates with you.
To further assist you in understanding your unique God-given design, we invite you take advantage of a very modestly priced on-line tool you can find at www.uniquelyyou.com. After completing one of their on-line inventories, a member of our pastoral staff (whomever you are comfortable with) would be happy to go over the results with you and help you find a good ministry match. If you do not know any pastors personally, please contact Pastor Dan.
Join our team in serving the children of McKernan Baptist Church. From nursery to grade 6, opportunities are available in all age groups.
Greeters serve by providing a warm welcome and connection for attendees. First impressions do make a difference and a warm welcome can go a long way.
Higher Grounds is a place where we can connect with others in the church and build relationships. The Higher Grounds team helps prepare and clean up the coffee and cinnamon buns.
Follow up with new attendees by giving them a call and welcoming them to McKernan.
The projection team exists to ensure video projection systems are in place and operated effectively so that our worship services provide an atmosphere conducive to life-changing sacred encounters with God.

Creating a comfortable, attractive space in which people can fully enter into God’s presence together and experience life-changing worship. Creating an esthetically enhanced environment in the church sanctuary to complement our ministry.
The sound team exists to ensure audio systems are in place and operated effectively so that our worship services provide an atmosphere conducive to life-changing sacred encounters with God.
The ushers serve by providing a welcoming, worshipful and safe environment for everyone who comes to the worship services so that people can fully enter into God’s presence together and experience life-change. They are in place to maintain order and eliminate confusion by the movement of people, promoting public relations and make all attendees feel comfortably at home.
To be a part of a team that creates a meaningful worship service outside the main sanctuary through the use of audio/visual equipment.

The worship team supports the worship team leader by using their skills and abilities in music and worship to establish a meaningful corporate worship setting.
