Peter, in 2 Peter 1, reminds us that everything we need for life and godliness has been given to us by God’s divine power. He continues that even though all has been given as a gift, we have a responsibility to grow in wisdom and character in order that we would not be ineffective and unproductive as we walk our spiritual lives. The most important gift we have received is the Holy Spirit and therefore we have the ability to operate in the gifts of the Spirit that Paul identifies in 1 Corinthians 12. Cheryl will talk through many gifts of the Spirit and how we can learn to hear God’s voice.

What makes a Sunday morning different than any other concert or event? Join Pastor Daunavan and a few of the worship leaders from our church for an interactive workshop on worship as God intends. We will be focusing on the corporate expression of worship, with the understanding that worship is something we do with all of our lives. As we sing songs and gather together each Sunday, the scriptures invite us to come as participants, not as consumers. But what does this mean? What can we expect when we make this mindset shift? What is scriptural worship? Come join us and we will explore these things together.

How does what you eat, your pursuit of health and your weight affect your happiness, meaning in life and identity? How do these things shape how you view and interact with other people? How can you know if you have turned a good thing (caring for your body) into an ultimate thing?

Join us for (1) a conversation about food, health and bodies in culture and the church, and (2) an introduction to Intuitive Eating as an eating framework that supports food peace and body trust. Opportunities for self-assessment, plus a wide range of resources for further exploration are included.

Jaclyn Chute has been a registered dietitian for 10 years. She believes that food should be both nourishing and satisfying. Her work focuses on helping others develop a healthy relationship with food so they are free to live the life they were created for.

If our inner life doesn’t change how we address and meet the needs of those around us, we have precious little to offer the world. Pastor Dan will facilitate a conversation that will include some key leaders that are captivated by the stunning transformation that occurs as we live out the radical Gospel that Jesus entrusted us with.
