Psalm 103

Reflect
Have you had that experience when you see a person walking alone down the street and they are arguing with someone? We have become accustomed to people publicly talking on the phone. However, a few years ago we would have assumed that they had some issues…because who talks to themselves…right? Well, it’s likely that we all do, and regrettably we are often not kind to ourselves. We can easily shift into being a very bad friend to ourselves. Who wants to hang around with someone that always criticizes us, or sees things negatively? Yet, we do it to ourselves. Today’s Psalm is a perfect remedy to our negative self-talk. Keep Psalm 103 at your fingertips and even better, on the front of your mind, the lips of your mouth. This passage will remind you of the incredible feats of the LORD. There is nothing that you have done or could do, that will position you outside of God’s transforming grace.

Apply
With the season of Thanksgiving still upon us, be immersed in the sweetly satisfying blessing of our LORD and in return, allow yourself the pleasure of blessing the Lord. ‘Bless the LORD, O my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name!’
