Daniel 6

Reflect
In the journey of life sometimes it can feel like we are between a rock and hard place. I’m sure Daniel felt this way literally and figuratively. Daniel can often be a larger than life figure with his incredible faith. However, at the end of the day Daniel is Daniel and God is God. There was nothing special about Daniel, but there was something mightily special about his God. Daniel’s confidence was never fully in himself. His confidence came from the One he loved and the One he loved to worship. In life, we can be doing the right things the right way, and we are dealt a bad hand. There will be times when living God’s way is a challenge to those who would rather live according to the world, and thus get put in difficult positions. The challenge is, do we stand at the door of the den with confidence in ourselves, or the One who goes before us? Jesus tell us, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” So when all eyes are watching, will you worship God and allow your circumstances to bring others to faith?
