Isaiah 1:11-18; Psalm 95
Reflect
As we continue with our theme, “20/20 Vision; Life as God Intends,” we are currently in a series focusing on godly core values seen “up close and personal”. Today we will look at the value of worship. We often limit our concept of worship to activities we do in a “worship service.” As we see in the passage from Isaiah, this falls far short of worshiping a Holy God. The people described in these verses were engaged in the activities of worship, but their hearts and lives were far removed from the truth expressed in their participation at worship events. God looks for hearts where there is integration between the worship “event” and our everyday lives. When our lives are focused on the worship of God, the focused times of worship take on the depth and meaning described in Psalm 95.
