Ephesians 3:14-21
Reflect
When have you experienced something that was beyond words? How difficult was it to attempt to explain that event to someone that was not there? As Paul sits in prison writing this letter, he spontaneously falls to his knees and breaks into this passionate prayer. He praises the Father, Son, and Spirit. He intercedes for his friends and us to welcome Jesus to dwell in our hearts, rooting ourselves in the love of Jesus and grasping for nothing else. He prays that we would be a Trinitarian church family, filled with God’s riches, love, and power; all for God’s glory.
Read the passage again and listen for one word or phrase the Holy Spirit impresses on you? Meditate on that.
Read the passage again. Enter into the Scripture passage. What do you feel? What specific situation in your life today relates? Write down a prayer or pray quietly.
Read the passage again. What is God’s personal invitation for you from the Scripture? You can write down what God may be saying to you or a prayer of thanks. What do you hear God saying for our church? I’d love to hear what He is impressing upon you.
