Revelation 5:9-14

Reflect

As we come to the end of our month of focused prayer, we come to John’s vision of the throne room in Revelation 5. The scene is God, sitting on the throne in the middle, with four creatures covered in eyes so that they can’t help but behold the glory of God, proclaiming God’s holiness, surrounded by twenty-four elders also worshipping. In the centre of the throne is where we also find the slain lamb, the one who purchased us for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. Surrounding this scene is a multitude of angels too large to be counted, and not only them, but every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth coming together with one voice to sing, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power for ever and ever!” What a scene to behold! This is the story we find ourselves in.

Prayer

God, we come alongside the worship in the throne room happening right now and through  all eternity and proclaim, “To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power for ever and ever.” Amen!
