Proverbs 11:1-15
Reflect
Contrast in art is a way to catch the attention of the audience. In paintings, contrast creates a dramatic atmosphere. Light and dark in art convey the concept of the seen and unseen, the known and unknown. Contrast in art also helps us identify the true subject of the piece of art.
Here in Proverbs 11, we have a variety of contrasts. These contrasts capture our attention and do give us the drama of what the results are of making wise choices or foolish ones.
Apply
As we take in the contrasts of wise and foolish choices, how will we respond? Do we catch the vision for bringing the beauty of a life lived for God into the public view? How will you allow Jesus to mold you into a masterpiece?
