Preparation for Sunday, December 5

Revelation 12:1-17

Today Pastor Melissa will be sharing on “A Right Relationship with Christmas: Beyond the Meek and the Mild.” The Revelation account of Christ’s birth presents us with a cosmic, metaphorically rich picture of what was happening behind the scenes from a heavenly perspective. There is both war and victory in the birth of Christ, and it challenges the Hallmark veneer of traditions that our culture tells us is sufficient for marking Christmas. We want to live into a grace-filled Advent that acknowledges our fallen world and lifts up true hope as we celebrate the birth of our Saviour and look forward to His victorious second coming.
