Matthew 5:1-6
This morning, Pastor Lyle will continue a new series of sermons on Jesus’ teaching in the “Sermon on the Mount” (Matthew 5-7). This teaching begins with what we’ve come to know as the “Beatitudes.” These can be seen as the values that mark a life that knows God’s blessing, not necessarily in the form of comfortable circumstances, but in the form of a flourishing inner being. Today we’ll look at the first four beatitudes and see that they describe a life blessed by God as it is lived in relation to God’s gracious truth.

- Pray today that God will work in and through our services, both in-person and online.
- Pray that God would effectively be at work in our church and in all His churches throughout our city today.

- Pray that God’s Spirit would work powerfully and effectively in all the various ministry groups in our church this week.
- Pray for the CM Ministry Assistant Annette Faszer, and interns Abigail Schroth, Blythe Knapczyk, Clarissa Choy, Jeff Yao, Precious Okome, Sarah Toews, Sunita Faszer, and Xue Yan Guo.
