Exodus 10:1-29

Reflect

What are the stories you tell that celebrate the goodness or the faithfulness or the _______   (fill in the blank) of God? There are those of us who know right away what story we are eager to share with anyone who will listen of how God met us in a special way to show His love to us. For others, we might have to think a bit about what we might share.

For Moses and the Israelites, the story of the exodus from Egypt to the Promised Land is an epic story. It is a story that God knows will be told time after time of how God and God alone is the one who delivered Israel from the land of Egypt. God explains that one of the reasons He intentionally hardens the heart of Pharaoh is for the purpose of showing that it was by no other means than by the hand of God that the Israelites were set free. It is a story that is still being told around a mealtime table, and even in films and dramatizations.

We all have a story of how God has ransomed us from the hand of evil and taken us up as His own children. Who will you tell your story to next?
