Facilities Team

Thank you to the many of you who have signed up to be a part of a crew! We still have a few places of need. The Facilities Team is comprised of  “crews” who work together to ensure McKernan’s facilities are protected, maintained and used in a God-honouring manner that optimizes ministry opportunities.

Set-Up Crew

Coordinates with various ministries to set up and take down chairs, tables and other items, particularly for the Sunday morning worship service in the Hospitality area. 

Parking Crew

Maximizes the parking lot experience on Sunday mornings.  Crew members provide assistance to those coming and going, and direct traffic as necessary.

Security Crew

Members act as hosts when outside groups make use of our facilities, being present and helpful during the events and making sure that everything is secured afterwards.

Clear Vision Crew

Crew members join together to clean windows and other glass in the church on a regular basis.

Dirty Linens Crew

Crew members take turns laundering kitchen linens on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.  Items include tea towels, dish cloths and sometimes table cloths (which require ironing as well).

 

Trades Crew

Members are contacted on an as-needed basis or for special projects requiring specific skill sets such as carpentry, plumbing, framing, electrical, or welding.  Projects could include building updates, small-scale renovations, and other special needs as we grow our ministry.
