Devotional Guide for Thursday, November 15

Acts 28:11-16

Reflect
It’s been almost two and half years since Paul has been given the divine assurance that he would go to Rome (23:11). These years have not been easy, and Paul has had to face the consequences and realities of living in a fallen world, but through it all, we are able to see the providence of God at work.  We have the luxury of being able to read the many passages in one sitting and see how it all turns out, but for Paul, he has had to live each day with the faith that God would do what He said He would do.  At the end of verse 15 we read that Paul is met by fellow believers and is greatly encouraged.  They heard Paul was coming and they made the effort to go find him and be with him.  I don’t know what your current situation is like.  Maybe you are like Paul and are needing the encouragement of others today.  I pray you will be met by those who will be an encouragement. Maybe you are to be an encouragement to others as they faithfully journey along the path God has for them. I pray you will be responsive to God’s promptings to go seek those out who need your presence today.
