Preparation for Sunday, May 5

John 1:30-43

This morning Pastor Lyle continues a series of sermons around the theme “Dwelling in Christ,” in which we are exploring a number of questions Jesus asked His followers. Today we focus on the question, “What do you want?” Isn’t it amazing that Jesus, the Son of God, asked a couple of ordinary guys what they wanted? What would you say if Jesus asked you what you want? Too often, I fear we would reply too quickly, revealing the shallowness of our desires instead of taking time to reflect on the kind of desires that are truly important.
