Proverbs 20:1-15

Reflect

What would you do if you had the opportunity to possess a rare jewel?  Would you keep it in a secret place that was safe from the world around you or would you share it?  Today we read in verse 15 that lips that speak knowledge are a rare jewel.  Wisdom is something Scripture tells us is worth more than gold and rubies.  What is encouraging to me is although I might not find a deposit of gold or rubies, I do have access to something that is more precious than gold or rubies.  The question is, will I access this wisdom and will I chose to use it?  There is a difference between knowing the right thing to do and actually doing the right thing.  I can see why this passage says that lips that speak knowledge are a rare jewel.

How were the words of your lips like a rare jewel today?
