Devotional Guide for Saturday, February 10

Luke 10:1-24

Reflect

Jesus’ words at the beginning of this passage could be echoed again today: “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

Jesus is telling us that there is work to be done! And what an honour that He would choose to let us be a part of His work in the lives of people and the world around us. Together we join a long history of unworthy workers, made worthy by Jesus to partner in His work to the world.

Where might God be calling you to go to work for His Kingdom? What part in His story is He inviting you into?

And as a quick aside, Jesus sent them out two by two. This partnership, doing it together is important. So, who are you in relationship with that you can work with together for God’s Kingdom? How can you continue to invest in relationships with other “Kingdom-workers” today?
