Preparation for Sunday
Read Luke 13:1-9
Today Pastor Lyle will continue the theme of “Walking With Jesus” by looking at a situation where Jesus’ followers were looking at circumstances faced by others as a basis of judging the state of their relationship with God. In response, Jesus challenged them to look inside their own lives and submit to the inner transformation God was desiring to bring.
Apply
- In what ways do you tend to make judgments based on the little you see in the lives of others? In what ways might you be content to measure your own walk with God on the basis of outer activities versus the true condition of your inner life?
- After listening to this morning’s message, how do you believe God is asking you to respond?
- Ask God to work in our congregation and in your heart as we gather to worship Him today.
