Preparation for Sunday
Read Luke 18:9-14
Today Pastor Lyle will continue the theme of “Walking With Jesus” by looking at a parable Jesus told about two men who prayed to God. One was very conscious of his image and wanted others to hear his prayer and how it expressed his good lifestyle. The other was simply authentic and came to God in humility. Jesus clearly indicated that God sees through our image to our reality and meets us with grace at our place of humility.

- In what ways are you tempted to put image above reality?
- After listening to this morning’s message, how do you believe God is asking you to respond?
- Ask God to work in our congregation and in your heart as we gather to worship Him today.

- Pray for all who will be involved in our services today.
- Pray that God would effectively be at work in our church and in all His churches throughout our city today.
