Devotional Guide for Tuesday, February 19

John 14:15-31

Reflect
There is a lot about us as followers of Jesus that the world doesn’t “get”.  This passage tells us our way of life, why we choose to obey Him and His teachings, is hidden from them. That can make life challenging.  However, we have Someone with us they don’t have: the person and presence of the Holy Spirit.  It goes on to tell us the Holy Spirit will bring us loving companionship of the Father and Son – like dwelling in a home together - and advocacy to the Father for us.  The Holy Spirit will be our teacher, comforter, giver of peace, defeater of fear.  This is what enables us to obey, even when the world doesn’t get us.
