Preparation for Sunday, May 9

Psalm 16

Today Pastor Lyle will continue a series out of the Psalms entitled, “Beyond What Eyes Can See.”  On this Mother’s Day, we’ll explore David’s description of a life that declares, “You are my Lord; apart from You I have no good thing.” (Psalm 16:2).  Here David declares that ultimate goodness in this life comes from following the true God as Lord.  While this is certainly not a promise that life will be easy, it is the pathway of experiencing God’s active presence. On a day when much attention is given to the home, we’ll talk about following Jesus as Lord of our homes, whether we are parents, couples or singles.
