Preparation for Sunday, October 17

Romans 8:14-17; John 1:12-13

Today Pastor Lyle will continue his series “Moving Forward” with a message on how, as people who believe in and follow Christ, the Bible identifies us as the family of God. We’ll focus specifically on the amazing implication that God is our Father. We are adopted as His children. This speaks to any tendency we may have to feel like spiritual orphans, carrying the weight of our own well-being on our backs.  It also speaks to any sense of being slaves before God, needing to constantly prove ourselves before a demanding God.
