Forms Seasonal

Dear Friend,

Advent is both a celebration of the arrival of Christ, our Emmanuel – God with us - and a yearning for His second coming, when Christ and the kingdom of heaven will come in power, fully revealed to the world. The Christian life is characterized by the “now, and not yet.” We can experience abundant life in Christ and His healing grace today, but there is so much more to come on the other side of eternity. This Advent season, we invite you to engage in the “now” of celebration, living in full gratitude of all that Christmas means, and to also hold fast in the “not yet,” as our souls wait for the Lord, and we put our hope in Him.

This devotional guide reflects on our theme for 2025-2026: “His sheep hear His voice”. We are once again blessed to have this devotional written by individuals from our McKernan family. As you interact with each day’s writing, we invite you to ponder what the Lord desires you to hear from Him this Advent season. Don’t rush. Be sure to allow yourself time to sit and reflect with an expectant heart on each writing. We trust you will listen well to the voice of the Good Shepherd as you prepare your heart to focus on Hope, Peace, Joy and Love.

In Christ,

Your McKernan Pastoral Team
