Enrolment Information
Our program is licensed to care for children 0-5 We do take a limited number of Kindergarteners but transportation must be arranged by each family. There may be opportunity for us to walk to and from McKernan School on an as needed basis. We offer priority to currently enrolled families for all spots that come available. As a U of A affiliate program, we also offer priority to U of A families. Enrolment for fall will begin in May/June. Enrolment offers are sent out via our waitlist system on email. Please ensure your contact information is updated. If you are not already on the waitlist, the likelihood for a spot will be small.
If you are interested in having your child join our centre, please visit our waitlist registry. Once you complete the form and pay the waitlist fee, you will be added to our waitlist. You will be notified once a spot becomes available through the childcare registry system. You are able to edit and/or update your file online at anytime.
Filling out a waitlist form will NOT guarantee a space when you request it. It is a minimum of 1-2 years wait time depending on the age of your child and when you are needing care.
Fees
Fees are collected monthly by pre-authorized payment.
Federal grant funding has reduced childcare fees. For more info about this funding CLICK HERE.
- Food will be provided until the end of August and children do not need to bring their own snacks or lunches.

Food service notice: As of September 2022 MCDC will no longer be able to support food service through our budget. Parents have the option of packing a lunch/snacks or they can coordinate with Second Chef for a lunch to be delivered at an additional cost. This must be coordinated directly with Second Chef. MCDC will continue to provide milk for the children but all food must be provided by the families otherwise.
