Thanksgiving
Sunday
Thank you for being part of our annual Giving Sunday! As a church family, we recognize how richly we have been blessed, and we’re grateful for the chance to extend that blessing to those in our community. This Thanksgiving Sunday, October 12, we invite you to join us in several meaningful ways.
During our morning worship services, you’ll have the opportunity to bring your donations forward as an act of worship and thanksgiving. Here’s how you can participate this year
CAMPUS FOOD BANK
We are collecting non-perishable food items to support the Campus Food Bank at the University of Alberta. For details on what items are most needed, visit: campusfoodbank.com/food-donations.
CLOTHING for COMMUNITY
Help us provide warmth to newcomers in need by donating clean, gently used winter clothing (jackets, coats, ski pants, boots, hats, gloves, mittens, scarves – for all ages). Use our online form to help plan your clothing donations or visit our Newcomer Assistance Ministry page for a link to contribute financially to the clothing drive by donating to the RAM fund.
THANKSGIVING OFFERING
We invite you to tithe a monetary offering on Thanksgiving Sunday. Envelopes are available at the Welcome Centre and in the backs of the chairs. Please note on the envelope where you would like your offering to be allocated (General Budget, Missions Budget, or the NAM Budget, currently known as the Refugee Assistance Ministry fund). If you prefer to give online, be sure the click the Change link to select your designated fund.
PRAISE OFFERING
Above all, Giving Sunday is about gratitude. Together, we will take time in the service to lift our voices in praise and thank God for the many ways He has blessed us.
Let’s come together in generosity and thanksgiving, blessing others as God has so generously blessed us!
