Psalm 101
Reflect
What a beautiful psalm. David is committing to pattern his life and reign as king after the pattern of God’s rule. Verses 1-3a give us a glimpse of what David intends to do. These are things I think we could all strive for. In verses 3b-7 we get a picture of what David is planning to do without. As I read this psalm, I am convicted to examine my own life and see what patterns I have developed, and how they compare to this psalm. I encourage you to pause today and reflect on today’s psalm and your own walk with God.

Pray for Kezia Wright (short-term missionary)
I was serving in Guatemala City for three months before COVID-19 happened and I felt it was time for me to come home for now. During my time there I served alongside Puerta de Esperanza getting to know people living in La Terminal. When COVID-19 became a more serious situation in Guatemala the government implemented a curfew between 4pm-4am. If you were caught outside during this time you would be sent to prison. We decided to start a shelter to provide a safe space for those living on the streets to stay so they would not end up in prison. The government initially was supporting our intiaitive and opened up a few more shelters in the city to accommodate more of the homeless population. However, as COVID has increased significantly throughout the country the government decided to shut down the shelters and took the people somewhere we do not know. I came home the end of March and have been back working with Hope Mission. These past months have held a lot of transition, uncertainty and stress but through it all God has been faithful, constantly reminding me that one of His names is Emmanuel - God with us. Please pray for all those living in Guatemala, for those living on the streets with no homes and nowhere to stay. Pray I would see and hear God's leading in the months ahead.
