Revelation 2:12-17
Today Pastor Lyle will continue a series of sermons on the letters written by Jesus to seven different first-century churches that are recorded in Revelation 2 and 3. This morning we’ll begin a 2-part message on the third letter, which was written to the church in Pergamum, a city that provided a whole range of religious choices. While Jesus commended many in the church for staying true in their walk with Him, He also extended a warning to some who were compromising their faith through idolatry and immorality. Essentially, these people were looking for life in all the wrong places, just like we are tempted to do ourselves in our contemporary culture.
