1 Chronicles 16:12-27

Reflect

Today we read a portion of the psalm of thanks that David commits to the Lord. It is a powerful section where David calls the people to remember. To remember the Lord for what He has promised, what He has done, and what He will continually do.

How often do we stop to really remember, ponder, and process all that the Lord has done? Not only in the Bible, or in history past, but in our own lifetime? The passage begins with “Remember the wonders he has done, his miracles,… (vs. 12) Why not spend some time today with a journal and recount all the ways the Lord has been present in your own life and in the lives of those you know? Ask the Lord to reveal or remind you of when and where He has been at work in your life.

“For great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods.” (Verse 25)

Pray for Chain of Love

Chain of Love Homes was founded by a missionary couple from the NAB in 1993 to look after children in jeopardy and to provide them a better life centred on Christ’s love and biblical principles. We have built 7 houses on a campus in Campo Bom, Brazil. Each home has up to ten children who are cared for by loving houseparents, a committed married Christian couple. We also manage four off-campus homes. The ministry is now under Brazilian leadership. In every house we aim to create an environment as close as possible to the routine of an ordinary Christian family. Many children accept Jesus as their Saviour. Our goal is to see genuine transformation in all areas of their lives. The housemothers spend 24/7 on the campus and the housefathers must work off the campus. Every child who comes to us is sent by the judicial system. They were apprehended from their parents because of several forms of abuse. COL takes in children from birth to age 17.
