Preparation for Sunday, February 5

John 16:12-15: Proverbs 3:5-6

Today we will continue to look at the practice of “listening prayer.” When Jesus taught His disciples, He told them that when He was no longer with them physically, His Spirit would come and guide them into truth. Certainly, the foundation of God’s truth is the written Word of God.  But here, Jesus talks of a personal relationship with God, where His Spirit takes this foundational truth and causes it to come alive in meaningful ways that guide us in following Jesus and living our lives to His glory. In our service today, three of our pastoral team will share out of their understanding of and experience with listening prayer.
