Reflect
“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” (verse 7). “And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” (verse 10)
As I sit down to write this devotional, I find myself in a space where anxiety wants to creep into my life and I catch myself trying to “manage” life on my own, instead of doing what verse 7 tells us to do. Can you relate?
I love that Peter reminds us of who God is and what God will do in and through us because of his love for us. We need to go through the challenges of life, but we need to give those challenges, those anxious moments to God so that he can carry us through the situations. As I sit here today, I continue to meditate on verse 10 and look forward to the restorative work God is doing in my life, and the work I believe he can do in yours as well.

Pray for Chain of Love (NAB Brazil)
For 30 years, Chain of Love, in partnership with the North American Baptist Conference, has been providing a home, healing and hope to children and teenagers rescued from situations of abuse and abandonment. Every child that comes to the ministry has been rescued by the Brazilian Child Protection Services and placed at COL by judicial order through the court system.
Chain of Love has 6 family homes on the campus in Campo Bom and 4 rented homes in the neighbouring city of Novo Hamburgo. Besides the family homes on campus, there is the transition home for young men and women who have reached the age of 18. These young people must either be in school or work, save a portion of their earnings and attend church services. Our staff of dedicated Christian Psychologists, Social workers and medical professionals work with our children to overcome the trauma of their pasts. Our focus, at Chain of Love, is to introduce our children and teens to the extraordinary life that can only be found in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
