Welcome to McKernan Men’s Ministry. We exist to provide a safe place for men of all ages to gather for fun, friendship, encouragement, discipleship, and an avenue to give back to the people and world around us. Join us this semester as we offer the following opportunities to gather as men.
Stay tuned for an update on what we will be doing for discipleship in the new year.
- Make plans now for the annual Alberta Baptist Association Men’s Retreat March 4-6, 2022, out at Camp Caroline. More details to come but make space in your calendar today for this great weekend with other men from McKernan and churches in Alberta.
Do you like to watch sports on TV but no one else in your house likes to? Well, plan to join us at the church for our CFL & NHL Sports Nights to watch some sports together. These nights are for those who love, like, tolerate or have never watched football or hockey before in their life to gather and enjoy the company of other men from McKernan and watch a game on the big screen. Snacks are sure to be served.
Friendship & Encouragement:
Definitely Not Salad Nights
Definitely Not Salad Nights are back! Join us as we gather as men to eat, build friendships and encourage one another. Each month we will gather at a different location to try food that your doctor might not agree with – ok, maybe not quite that drastic, but join us as we explore different culinary treats.
If we stop and take the time to look around us, we quickly realize that we have much to be thankful and grateful for. But not everyone can say that. This year we hope to offer different opportunities for you to serve or give back to the world around us.
Edmonton Food Bank
The need is for volunteers to help build food hampers, sort food, and provide other warehouse support. Currently a maximum of 10 volunteers at a time can serve. Please sign-up to make sure there is a space for you.
Potential Missions Trip
Plans are also being worked on for a possible men’s ministry mission trip to Camp Falcon Rock in Romania. If all goes well, this might be sometime between March – May 2022. More details will be provided as they become available.
