Colossians 3:1-11

Our theme this ministry year is Following Jesus, and we are looking at what it looks like in a practical way to live a life that follows Jesus.
Sometimes I’m guilty of overthinking what it means to live a life that models following Jesus. Verse 2 reads, “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.”

When I read this verse, it helps me remember where I should put my daily focus. I need to remember that what Jesus thinks is far more important than what the world thinks or believes I should be concerned about.

Verses 5-11 give us some examples (it’s not an exhaustive list), of what we should be mindful of and not allow to take over our lives.
