Psalm 119:17-24
Blessed New Year!
On this first day of a new year, we see the desire of the psalmist that his eyes would be opened to see the wonderful truth of God as revealed in His Word (v18). In a world where information is streamed 24/7, this is a powerful reminder of our need to first and foremost see and hear from God. Because it is hard to know where to begin in seeking to be led by God’s truth, some people find it helpful to discern where God might have them focus. Thus, at the beginning of a new year, they ask God for a word or a concept that will guide their thoughts and prayers. Today several of our church staff will share a word that they sense God would have them focus on in 2023. As they share, ask God to guide and focus you in your desire to have Him open your eyes to His truth in the coming year.
