Devotional Guide for Saturday, March 18

Hebrews 10:1-18

Reflect

Wow! Is this passage full of good news or what? When the Israelites lived under the Old Testament law, year after year after year there would be sacrifices made to cleanse them of their sins. But because of the sacrifice that Jesus made for each of us, we have been made holy. No longer do we need to make sacrifices to pay the price of our sins. We no longer need to try in our own strength to be holy. Jesus made a way for us, and as we place our hope and trust in Him, declaring Him as the Lord and Saviour of our lives, it says, “Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.” Praise Jesus! My goodness! This is good news! It is THE Good News.

When you look at how you’ve been living your life lately, are there ways that you are trying in your own strength to make up for the ways that you fall short of the way God has designed us to live? Are you tempted to try to “clean up” your life before coming to Jesus? Take time today to find rest in the amazing Good News that Jesus has made you clean, and that through Him we are being made holy.
