Preparation for Sunday, September 10

This morning, Pastor Nathanael will be launching into our new series on the book of Galatians. We’ve subtitled the series, “Dwelling in Freedom” as Paul convincingly explains that our freedom comes from faith in Christ.
For this morning, we’re going to notice Paul’s passion in his letter to the Galatians. The people of Galatia had been slipping away from the true gospel and falling into some of the teachings by the false teachers. They had mistakenly believed that works, strictly following the Mosaic Law, and circumcision was a necessary part of their salvation – they couldn’t be further away from the truth. The purity of the gospel had been tainted, and Paul writes in hopes to call God’s people back to the truth.
