Preparation for Sunday, September 17

Galatians 1:11-24

This morning Pastor Nathanael will be continuing our new series on the book of Galatians. We’ve subtitled the series, “Dwelling in Freedom” as Paul convincingly explains that our freedom comes from faith in Christ.
The Judaizers had been preaching a different gospel. They knew that if they could undermine Paul’s apostolic authority, then his message of liberty would be moot to the Galatians. What makes Paul’s message separate from the other noise and false messages is that his message of grace and freedom was directly from God, which then dramatically changed his own life. The gospel message was not a man-made invention, or a tradition that had been passed down through centuries, but it was a revelation proven through eye-witness accounts and transformed lives. As we hear from God’s Word, let’s pray that it would solidify and deepen our confidence in God and the gospel.
