Reflect
My younger brother said to me harshly, “You know what I don’t like about you Christians? You come with all these moral laws. Jesus loved the woman and challenged the Pharisees to throw a stone at her, if they would be without sin.” However, he left out the part where Jesus said, “Sin no more.”
Is Christianity all about good morals? In today’s passage Jesus offers us a new way.
Repent! The cities had not done this, despite seeing miracles! Jesus denounced them, for His judgement is coming. It is not only regretting your ways, but turning from your sins.
Believe and trust like a child.
Find rest in spending time with Him. But also find rest for your souls. No more need of being troubled. He is right there beside you!
Let Jesus help you in living by His kingdom rules! Like oxen used to be under one yoke, Jesus offers to come along side you. Oxen still do work and the going gets sometimes hard. Similarly, Jesus does not promise a comfortable life, but offers His presence! He fulfilled the law and lived a sinless life that we can lean on Him in our struggles!

In your walk with God, be honest and ask Jesus to have the victory over sin and walk closely in His ways!
