Preparation for Sunday, April 14

Mark 9:33-37; 10:35-45

This morning Pastor Lyle continues a series of sermons around the theme “Dwelling in Christ,” in which we are focusing on a number of the questions Jesus asked His followers. Today, we focus on the question, “What were you arguing about on the road?” We typically argue about that which is important to us and here we find the disciple were arguing about which of them was the greatest. Jesus knew this and weighed into their conversation by exposing the trap of self-promotion and lifting the value of selfless service as the means to true “greatness” in God’s Kingdom.
