Devotional Guide for Monday, June 17

1 Peter 1:13-21

Reflect

Today, we are reading a passage where we are going to read what suffer brings to our life and the time of everything is near and we are encouraged to be sober mind and pray and act that name of God. What comes to our mind when we are hearing the word “suffer”. The dictionary says that suffering is experience or being subjected to something bad or unpleasant. It is not what we would like to have in our life. But according 1 Peter person who has suffered in his body is done with sin. And as result person does not live life for evil human desire, but rather for the will of God. Through this we start to understand what value in our life is, and people that surround us don’t understand it.

Being under influence of thoughts others God encourage us to remember that the end of all things is near. We need to remember what is important in our life. When we are clean mind and have self-control to be able to pray, we understand that relationship with others is very important in our life. So, God call us to have love to each other, to offer hospitality and to serve other by whatever gift we had received. In all our relationships we encourage to glorify God’s name. Let God blesses us to remember that we are called to live for the will of God. Also, to be clean mind and self-controlled to be able to pray, to love, to offer hospitality and to serve others because the end of all things is near.
