Proverbs 12:15-28
Reflect
“Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.”
Several years ago, I heard an analogy for how we can’t take back words once they leave our mouth. They said it is like a tube of toothpaste. Our words are the paste, and once you squeeze the tube and the paste comes out, it is almost impossible to get the paste back into the tube as if it was never squeezed. In the same way, once our words leave our mouth, they are out and either the damage or help is in motion.

Today as you interact with your family, friends, co-workers, strangers, or whomever God brings in your path, may you be mindful of the power of your words, and may you be one who brings hope, healing, and/or encouragement into the lives of those around you.

Pray for John Webster – Young Life
Young Life is a Christian mission that loves teenagers in their world and encourages them to know Jesus Christ. We go to where kids are and build personal relationships with them. We provide fun, adventure, and life-changing experiences. We do this by working alongside like-minded adults who believe that every teen deserves the right to hear God’s news.
Young Life is thriving in the city and throughout the province. We are excited to see our ministries start in new neighbourhoods and in new schools throughout the city. We are also pleased to announce new work with our Indigenous communities and are excited about how God will lead us with this new ministry.
Janelle and I continue to live in south Edmonton with our daughter McKinley who loves life and loves to laugh. We are grateful for the support of McKernan and continue to pray for those that attend McKernan and its programs.
